John & Karen Hovannisian and family: Hovannisian Vineyards

Hovannisian Vineyard was established by developing a 17 acre alfalfa field into a syrah wine grape vineyard in 1996.  After years of research in the Paso Robles area, and trip to Italy and France our decision was made that syrah would be the grape of choice.

Sustainable farming was and will always be our goal.  The vineyard thrives with life both under and above the soil.  Creating a safe environment our field workers and family is very important and reflects in the grapes that we grow.
